Fishing

Salmon, sea trout and trout fishing are available on the River Alness and on Loch Morie. Further trout fishing is available on stocked lochens close to Ardtalla. Fly fishing instruction can be arranged on the estate.

Fishing on the River Alness at Novar Estate

The season on the River Alness is from 11 February until the end of October. The first grilse run is expected in late June with the river at its most productive from July to October. There are six rotating beats on the Novar water with 4 rods per beat.
