Fishing
The River Alness flows through Novar Estate from its head on Loch Morie down to the Cromarty Firth. It is widely regardeed as one of the most scenic of the Highland rivers, flowing through gorges and meandering open stretches.
The Novar Fishings comprise about 6.2 miles (10 km) of double-banked salmon fishing on the River Alness producing a 5-year average rod catch of 402 salmon & grilse per year - 321 fish were caught during the 2012 season.
The Novar Fishings are split into 6 rotating beats over two sections of the river: the upper beats comprising Beats 1 and 2; and the lower beats comprising Beats 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Rods are available weekly or daily and can be combined with a mixed sporting week.
